Been chipping away at various little Spitfire jobs, but I’ve finally got something to show for one of them. The rear lower wishbone mounts are all fabbed up and just awaiting the arrival of a 1/2” drill bit to finish them.
Started by makings wooden mockup of the rear leaf spring using the spare vertical links I have. From that I made a wooden mockup of the rear tie rods, basing the dimensions on the furthest distance back I could place the rear mount on the chassis and mirroring that to get the location of the front mount.
Next up is the rear tie rods themselves. Half the machining’s done, with the next due soon :)

I’m really enjoying your build. You have some really great ways to mock things. Keep them coming.

Same. It’s nice to see pictures of a work in progress.

I think I missed this when it went up. The long awaited rear suspension post.
